3rd Southern Mindanao Vegetable Congress

The Vegetable Industry Council of Southern Mindanao (VICSMin), Inc. in cooperation with the Department of Agriculture (DA-RFU XI), Growth with Equity in Mindanao Program 2-USAID, Provincial Government of Davao del Norte, City Government of Tagum, University of the Philippines in Mindanao, City Government of Davao, Catholic Relief Services and University of Southeastern Philippines will be hosting the 3rd Southern Mindanao Vegetable Congress, slated on May 24-25, 2007 at the Molave Hotel, Osmeña St., Tagum City, Davao del Norte, Philippines.

To empower vegetables growers in the market-driven economy, this year, the organizer focuese on modern farm production systems in order to produce world-class and safe vegetables in response to the quality requirements of the local and international markets.  Hence, the congress' theme: "Market Driven, GAP-Oriented Vegetable Production: A Key to Successful Agricultural Enterprise".
