US/MEXICO: Calavo signs tomato deal

Calavo Growers has signed a deal with Mexican vegetable producer Agricola Belher that will see the launch of Calvavo-branded tomatoes this autumn.
 
Lee E. Cole, Calavo's chairman, president and CEO, called Belher a "top-quality producer".

He added: "We are confident that this expansion will make a meaningful incremental contribution to company revenues and expect tomato sales in the range of US$20-25m in fiscal 2008."
