Philippines: 11-month agriculture exports up 13.8%

MANILA, Philippines -- Exports of agricultural products rose 13.8 percent to $3.63 billion in the January-November period from $3.19 billion in the same period in 2006, data from the Department of Agriculture showed.

The export volume grew 27.96 percent to 8.43 million metric tons, the data showed.

Exports to the United States amounted to $741.2 million at 860,618 metric tons; to Japan, $430.4 million at 1.59 million metric tons; and to Netherlands, $244 million at 292,126 metric tons.
