The Department of Agriculture has launched its second food caravan to showcase the government's efforts to make the farm sector more profitable and food prices more affordable.
"The food caravan is a way of demonstrating to our farmers and fisherfolk how they can directly link with DA 'bagsakan' [drop-off] centers in Metro Manila, where they can sell their produce without having to pass through unnecessary trading layers and thus, gain more profits," Yap said.
