The head of the Latvian Traders Association (LTA), Henriks Danusevics, has said that Wal-Mart is not going to launch in the country for the time being and is focussing on other new EU member states, for example, Bulgaria and Slovenia, as well as Serbia. "An invitation has been sent out to let the company to get familiar with the situation in Latvia, but no reply has been received yet from Wal-Mart," Danusevics said. It had been earlier reported that Wal-Mart might enter the Latvian market at some point between 2012 and 2015.
