Multi- and single stakeholder agrifood market chain-wide learning events have been supported by the Regoverning Markets programme in eight counties - Turkey, Indonesia, South Africa, Morocco, Bangladesh, Pakistan and the Philippines.  These working meetings aimed to understand better the drivers and trends in domestic and regional food trades, to explore the institutions and policies that influence the growth of modern markets and specifically small-scale producer's inclusion, and to generate practical proposals for policy and institutional intervention that can enable broad-based and inclusive market development.

A guide providing tools and practical ideas to support such processes has been prepared and designed for use by the public sector including donors, NGOs and the private sector including farmers and their organisations.
