The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and Making Markets Work Better for the Poor (M4P) convened two workshops in October on the topic of promoting market opportunities at the Base of the Pyramid (BOP). The theme of the workshop is aligned with ongoing research under the M4P project into potential opportunities for companies to purchase products and services from the poor (those at the Base of the Economic Pyramid) or to sell products and services to poor consumers.

The workshops brought together Vietnamese and international companies who are active in the BOP market to share experiences about how to promote market opportunities at the Base of the Pyramid. These were the first workshops in Viet Nam to address these issues.
