Regional Consultation on Linking Farmers to Markets -- lessons learned from successful practices

December 3, 2006 |

Cairo, Egypt, 29 January - 2 February 2006

Organised by USAID, University of Illinois, World Bank, IALC and IFAMA

This Regional Consultation on Linking Farmers to Markets was the first in a series of regional workshops intended to share innovative ideas resulting from Building New Partnerships in the Global Food Chain, an international workshop held in late June 2005 in Chicago. At the close of the Chicago workshop, participants recommended that agricultural leaders from different countries would greatly benefit from similar workshops held in their respective regions. The first of these regional workshops was held in Cairo and will involve participants from throughout the Middle East and North Africa.
