FAO Pro-Poor Livestock Policy Initiative (PPLPI)

Established in 2001, the Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO) of the United Nations the Pro-Poor Livestock Policy Initiative (PPLPI) aims to facilitate and support the formulation and implementation of livestock-related policies and institutional changes that have a positive impact on the world's poor. To achieve this goal, the Initiative combines stakeholder engagement with research and analysis, information dissemination, and capacity strengthening. The PPLPI is funded by the UK Department for International Development.
